Rolling donkey (lüdagun)

“Rolling donkey”, also called “bean flour cake”, is a Muslim snack. Steamed yellow rice or sticky rice is kneaded into balls, which, after stir-fried soybean flour is sprinkled on it and adzuki bean stuffing is added, are shaped into long rolls and sprinkled with sesames, sweet osmanthus and white sugar. It is so named because the balls look like rolling donkeys when bean flour is sprinkled on them. (by Zhu Kai)
